Delete specific data
This page explains how to delete some of your personal data on BOB-O-JOB (operated by BOB O JOB LTD) without closing your account. If you'd rather delete your whole account and everything in it, see Delete your account instead.
You have the right to ask us to erase specific personal data we hold about you (UK GDPR, Article 17) while keeping your account active.
How to request it
Option 1 — Ask us to delete specific data
Email privacy@bob-o-job.com from the email address registered to your BOB-O-JOB account, and tell us which data you'd like removed (for example "delete my saved addresses and my location history"). We will verify the request is genuinely from you and complete it within one month (the response window required under UK GDPR). Your account stays open.
Option 2 — Remove some items yourself in the app
Signed in to the app, open Account and you can remove certain items directly, including:
- Saved addresses — Account → Saved places → remove an address.
We're expanding in-app self-service deletion; for anything not yet available there, use the email request above.
What we can delete on request
On request (while keeping your account), we can delete:

| Saved addresses | All your saved places are deleted |
| Saved payment cards | Detached and removed from our payment processor (Stripe) |
| Optional profile details | Non-essential profile fields are cleared |
| Location / GPS history | Your stored location pings are deleted |
| Marketing & analytics preferences | We stop non-essential processing and opt you out |
What we keep (and why)
Some data must be retained even after a deletion request, because the law requires it or it relates to other people:
- Transaction & financial records (payments, payouts, invoices) — kept as long as we're legally required to, typically up to 6 years for tax and accounting (UK).
- Safety & security logs (e.g. sign-in/device/abuse records) — kept for up to 12 months for fraud prevention and safety, then deleted.
- Records involving another person (e.g. a message or review the other party still relies on, or an open dispute) — handled in line with their rights too.
Once any legal retention period ends, that data is deleted on our normal retention schedule. Deleting specific data does not close your account. To erase everything and close the account, use Delete your account.
