Promotion Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 August 2026
These terms apply to every promotion BOB O JOB runs — launch offers, seasonal offers, percentage and money-off discounts, offers limited to particular services, a code we give you directly, and offers that apply themselves at checkout with no code to enter. Where we say "code" below, it means any of these. They sit alongside, and do not replace, the general promo-codes-and-credits terms in our Customer Terms (Section 6.4a) and our Acceptable Use Policy (Section 12). Our refer-a-friend schemes work differently and have their own terms at Referral Promotion Terms.
The specific terms of each code we are currently running — the discount, the minimum spend, the expiry date and any usage limit — are in the schedule at the end of this page (Section 10). Where a code's own terms say something different from the general rules below, the code's terms win.
1. Who can use a promotion, and how it is applied
You need a BOB O JOB customer account. There are two kinds of promotion:
- Codes you enter. Type the code at the point of booking, in the promo code box, before you confirm and pay.
- Offers applied automatically. Some offers — ones we send to you directly, and ones we run for all customers — need no code. If one applies to what you are booking, it is applied for you at checkout and shown in the price breakdown before you pay. You can remove it, and entering a code of your own replaces it.
Either way, the discount must be on the booking before you pay. It cannot be added to a booking afterwards, and we cannot apply one retrospectively.
Promotions are personal to your account. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred, sold, or given to someone else. Where we automatically apply an offer, we apply the single best one available on that booking.
2. One use per customer account
Unless the offer's own terms say otherwise, each promotion can be used once per customer account. Once you have booked a job with it, it will not apply on your account again.
Opening more than one account in order to use the same code again is not allowed — see Section 8.
3. Minimum spend
Some promotions have a minimum spend; others have none, and the schedule below says which. It is measured against the job price you set, before the discount is taken off, and it excludes:
- the booking fee,
- any tip,
- any extra time, materials, or price increase you approve after the job has started.
So an offer with a £40 minimum needs a job priced at £40 or more before the discount. A job priced at £39 does not qualify, even though the total you would pay is higher than £40 once the booking fee is added.
For a job with more than one worker, the minimum is measured against the total job price for all workers, and the code counts as a single use.
4. How the discount is worked out
A discount is either a fixed amount off (for example £10 off) or a percentage of the job price (for example 20% off) — the schedule below says which, for each offer we are running. A percentage discount may also have a maximum: "20% off, up to £15" means 20% on a job priced below £75 and £15 on anything above it. Any maximum that applies is shown in the schedule.
A discount can never be more than the job price, so it can make a job free but never produce a payment to you.
The discount comes off the job price. The booking fee is then charged on the reduced amount, so the fee goes down too. Account credit, if you have any, is applied after the promotional discount.
Worked example — a £10-off code with a £40 minimum, on a job priced at £40:
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Job price | £40.00 |
| Promo discount | −£10.00 |
| Booking fee (5% of £30.00) | £1.50 |
| You pay | £31.50 |
Your Jobber is unaffected by any of this: they are paid on the full, pre-discount job price. We fund the discount ourselves.
Only one promotion can be used per booking; promotions cannot be combined with each other. A promotion applies to the single booking you use it on — if you set up a recurring booking, later visits are charged at the full price.
Some offers only cover certain services. Where an offer is limited to particular services, it applies only to a booking in one of them, and the schedule below says which. If you later agree a higher price for that job, a percentage discount is recalculated against the new price — up to its maximum, if it has one — and a fixed discount stays the same.
5. Start dates, expiry and usage limits
A promotion may have a start date, an expiry date, a limit on the total number of times it can be used across all customers, or any combination. A promotion that has not started yet will not work, even if you have the code — the schedule below says when each one runs from. Whichever apply to a given offer are shown in the schedule below. Where there is a total usage limit, it is first come, first served: once the limit is reached the offer stops working, even if it has not yet expired.
A promotion must be valid at the moment you book — started, not expired, and not used up. One that expires while a job you booked with it is still running does not affect that job.
6. If your job is cancelled
If a job you booked with a promotional code is cancelled, the use is normally returned to your account, so you can use the code again while the promotion is still running. Any refund due is worked out on what you actually paid, not on the pre-discount price — see our Cancellation & Refund Policy. We may decline to return a use where we reasonably believe a booking was made and cancelled in order to re-use a code (see Section 8).
7. We can change or end a promotion at any time
We may withdraw, suspend, shorten, extend or change any promotion, or any promotional code, at any time and without notice — including before its published expiry date, and including where a code has been shared more widely than we intended, used in a way we did not intend, published somewhere we did not publish it, or where it is being used at a rate we did not plan for. We may also change the discount, any maximum discount, the minimum spend, the start date, the usage limits, or which services an offer applies to.
Ending or changing a promotion does not affect a discount already applied to a job you have already booked and paid for. Beyond that, no promotion is a promise that it will still be available later, and nothing on this page or elsewhere gives you a right to a discount you have not yet used.
The terms that apply to your booking are the ones in force at the moment you book.
8. Misuse
Promotional codes are for genuine bookings by genuine customers. The following are not allowed, and are a breach of our Acceptable Use Policy (Section 3.2, Fraud and deception):
- creating more than one account, or using someone else's account, in order to use a code more than once;
- booking and cancelling jobs in order to re-use a code;
- publishing, selling, or listing a code on a voucher, coupon, or deals site — codes are for the people we issue them to, and an offer we sent to you personally is for you;
- inflating a job price to clear a minimum spend with no intention of the work being done at that price;
- using a code alongside any other conduct our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits.
Where we reasonably suspect misuse we may refuse or reverse the discount, charge the full price, cancel the booking, withdraw the code, and suspend or close the accounts involved — see Acceptable Use Policy Sections 11 and 12. Suspected cases are reviewed by a member of our team, and you can contest an outcome by contacting us at the address below.
9. General
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, including your cancellation rights, or anything else in the Customer Terms. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, on the same basis as Section 16 of the Customer Terms: the Terms of Use set out the position on jurisdiction, and nothing here affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence.
We may update this page. The version that applies to your booking is the one published at the time you booked.
10. Current promotions
Everything currently running is listed here. Anything not listed is not an offer we are running.

| Minimum spend | £40.00 (job price, before the discount) |
| Maximum discount | Not applicable — this is a fixed £10 |

| Runs from | Now |
| Runs until | 17 October 2026, unless withdrawn earlier under Section 7 |
One welcome offer per account — LAUNCH10 or the welcome offer below, not both. They are
the same offer in different clothes. Whichever you use first is the one you get, and the other
stops applying to your account from that point on.
Welcome offer — earned by opting in to marketing when you sign up
This one is issued to your account, and only to your account, when you create a customer account and tick the box asking whether we may send you offers and promotions by email. We email you the code straight away, and it is also shown in the app under Account › Rewards.
You do not have to take it. Creating an account, posting a job and booking all work exactly the same if you leave the box unticked. The box is a choice about marketing email, and the discount is what we give you for saying yes — nothing about the service depends on it. You can withdraw the marketing consent whenever you like, in your account settings or from any email we send, and a discount already issued to you is yours to use regardless.
| Term | Detail |
|---|---|

| Maximum discount | £15.00 |
| Uses per code | 1 |
| Codes per customer | One — issued once, on the account you create |
| Services | All services |
| Valid from | The moment your account is created |
| Runs until | No expiry date — it stays on your account until you use it, or until we withdraw the offer under Section 7 |
| Who can take part | New customer accounts. Jobber accounts are not eligible |
How it is applied. Enter the code at checkout when you book, on a job priced at £40 or more. You will find it in the email we send when you sign up, and in the app under Account › Rewards. Only one promotion can apply to a booking.
One welcome offer per account — this one or LAUNCH10, not both. These two are the same
offer in different clothes: money off a first job. Whichever you use first is the one you get,
and the other stops applying to your account from that point on. It is not one per job: using
LAUNCH10 on your first booking means this code will not apply to your second either. If you
cancel the booking that used it, the offer comes back.
Post-job feedback reward — earned by completing our feedback form
This one is not a code you can enter or find. It is issued to your account, and only to your account, after you complete the short feedback form we email you following a completed job.
How you get it
- After a job is finished and paid for, we email you a link to a feedback form. The link is personal to that job and to your account.
- You answer the form. Most of it is tapping a rating. Where you rate part of the job poorly we ask what went wrong, and there are a couple of open questions at the end — every written answer is optional.
- As soon as you submit it, we issue you a code worth 10% off your next job. It is shown on screen and emailed to you.
The rating questions are what the form needs to count as complete. Every written answer can be left blank and you will still get the code. If you start the form and do not finish it, your answers are saved, and you can return using the same link and finish it later — the code is issued when you submit, not when you start.
| Term | Detail |
|---|---|
| Code | Issued to you individually, in the form THANKS-XXXXXX |
| Discount | 10% off the job price |
| Minimum spend | None |
| Maximum discount | None — 10% of the job price, whatever that is |
| Uses per code | 1 |
| Codes per customer | One per completed feedback form |
| How often we ask | At most one invitation every 30 days, however many jobs you book |
| Services | All services |
| Valid from | The moment you submit the form |
| Runs until | 14 days after you submit the form |
| Who can take part | Customers with a BOB O JOB account, on a job that completed normally |
When the 14 days run from. From the moment you submit the form, not from when we emailed you. The invitation link itself stays valid for 30 days; taking your time over answering does not shorten the discount.
How it is applied. There is nothing to type in: the discount is applied automatically the
next time you book, provided the code has not expired. Only one promotion can apply to a
booking — if you hold more than one, we apply whichever gives you the larger discount, and the
other is left untouched for another time. So it cannot be used together with LAUNCH10 or any
other promotional code on the same job. Account credit is not a promotion and is not affected:
if you hold credit, it is applied after this discount, as Section 4 explains.
The reward does not depend on what you say.
Answering is voluntary, and there is no obligation to answer any particular question. You get the code for completing the form; we do not require a positive review, a particular score, or a favourable comment of any kind, and the code is identical whatever you tell us. A critical answer earns exactly the same discount as a glowing one.
It is separate from public reviews of your Jobber. The feedback form is private: it goes to the people who build BOB O JOB and is not published anywhere. Leaving a public review of your Jobber is a different thing, it is entirely optional, and it earns you nothing. We may invite you to leave one after you finish the form; that invitation is not part of this offer, and whether you leave a review, and what it says, has no effect on this discount or on any future one. We never offer payment, discounts or any other incentive in exchange for a public review.
What we do with your answers. Your answers are stored against your account and the job they are about, and are used to improve the service. They are not published and are not shown to your Jobber. If you tell us something happened that you would like to raise privately, that part is passed to our support team so a person can respond, and is handled as a support enquiry rather than as feedback. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, including how long we keep it and the rights you have over it.
If you would rather we did not ask. The invitation is a marketing email and every one carries an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops the invitations; it does not affect receipts, or anything else about a live job, and it does not affect a code you have already been issued.
If something goes wrong. If you complete the form and no code appears, contact us at the address below and we will issue one. If a code is issued to you in error — for example on a job that was later cancelled or refunded in full — we may withdraw it under Section 7, and we will tell you if we do.
