What cleaners actually take home
Every figure on this page is what you take home — your earnings after our fee, not the price the customer pays.
On BOB O JOB, an hour of cleaning typically takes home £12.75–£21.25. A 2–3 hour clean of a 2-bed flat takes home £25.50–£46.75, and a half-day deep clean £68–£102. You see the exact amount on every job before you accept it.
Example weeks
- •A few cleans around other commitments (about 10 hrs/wk): ~£125–£200/week
- •Full days, back to back (about 40 hrs/wk): ~£500–£800/week
- •Weekends only (about 8 hrs): ~£100–£150 a weekend
They are illustrations, not forecasts: what you make depends on your hours, your area and the jobs you accept. Take-home is before tax, and as a self-employed Jobber your tax and National Insurance are yours to handle.
Regulars change the maths
One-off cleans fill a week; regulars fill a calendar. Weekly and fortnightly slots let you plan your income in advance, cut the travel between jobs, and a customer who books you once can book you again — do a great job and a Tuesday-morning slot can stay yours.
Why it works around your life
There are no minimum hours and no set shifts. Go online when you're free, set a radius around where you live, and only see cleans nearby. The customer's card is authorised before you travel, so the money is reserved up front and there's no invoice to chase. Earnings are released when the customer confirms, or about 4 hours after you finish, then paid out on Stripe’s standard schedule.
