Why local work wins

📍

A radius, not a route

You choose how far you'll go — a few streets or a couple of miles. Jobs outside it never even show up.

🔁

Neighbours become regulars

A weekly clean two streets over, the same dog every lunchtime — local work turns into repeat work faster, because you're already there.

⏱️

More earning, less travelling

When jobs are minutes apart you can fit more of them into a day — travel time is the cost the radius kills.

Paid fast

Earnings are released when the customer confirms, or about 4 hours after you finish, then paid out on Stripe’s standard schedule.

Local work — your questions answered

How close to home are the jobs?

As close as you set your radius — you only ever see jobs inside it. Plenty of Jobbers keep it tight enough to walk or cycle to everything they take.

Which areas are live?

We're currently live in Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Wandsworth, and expanding across London borough by borough. If you're just outside a live area, a wider radius can still reach jobs inside one.

Do I have to travel across London?

No — that's the point. There are no assigned zones and no dispatcher sending you across town. If a job is outside your radius, you'll never see it.

Can I do this part-time?

Yes — there are no minimum hours and no set shifts. Go online when you're free and take the local jobs that fit. Many Jobbers work their neighbourhood around another job, studies or family.

What checks do I have to pass?

Every Jobber is ID-verified, interviewed by our team and DBS-checked before they take a single job — you apply for the DBS check yourself at gov.uk and pay the fee, which is a cost of running your own business. Nobody is approved automatically, and customers can see that every Jobber has been through the same checks.

When and how do I get paid?

The customer's card is authorised the moment they post the job, so the money is checked and reserved before you travel and there's no invoice to raise or chase. It isn't held in a separate escrow account and it isn't a guarantee: nothing actually leaves the customer's account until the job is confirmed complete, and in the rare case of a dispute or a card chargeback a payment can be reversed after it has reached you. Your earnings are released as soon as the customer confirms the job — or automatically about 4 hours after you mark it complete if they don't, unless they've raised an issue. That window gives them a fair chance to flag a problem before the money moves, which is what keeps disputes from landing after you've been paid. From there it's paid into your bank on Stripe's standard schedule — usually 1–2 business days once your account is established. Your first payout can take a little longer while Stripe finishes its checks.
